Laleh Jalali is a U.S. patent attorney with over 25 years of experience guiding clients through all aspects of patent law, including prosecution, portfolio management, patent analysis, and licensing negotiations. She has worked extensively across a wide range of technologies, such as wireless standards (LTE, 5G, WiFi, mmWave, wireless power), artificial intelligence and machine learning, IoT, data centers, computer hardware and software, semiconductors, graphics, and medical devices.
Laleh combines deep private practice and in-house experience. For more than a decade, she practiced at respected IP firms in Washington, D.C. and Munich, Germany, where she prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications, counseled clients on portfolio development, and participated in European oppositions, appeals, and cross-border litigation. She then spent 12 years as in-house senior counsel at a large multinational technology company, serving as Group Counsel to manage a global team focused on wireless connectivity standards. In this role, she developed patent strategies, oversaw standard-essential and implementation-related claims, led licensing negotiations, and prosecuted more than 100 applications.
Earlier in her career, Laleh served as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She has provided pro bono legal services through the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program and Bread for the City.
Laleh is trilingual, and is fluent in English, French and Farsi.
