Dusty Vogelpohl

Dusty Vogelpohl is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience across the full spectrum of intellectual property law. He assists clients with patent prosecution, portfolio management, and patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement analyses. He also brings significant patent litigation experience, including prior art investigations, claim chart development, drafting motions, participating in hearings and mediation, negotiating settlements, and supporting appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

In addition to his patent practice, Dusty advises clients on trademark law, handling clearance searches, trademark prosecution, cease and desist letters, usage negotiations, and trademark-related agreements. He also prepares, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of intellectual property agreements.

Dusty has worked with technologies spanning chemical compositions, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and treatments, diagnostic equipment, mining and oil technologies, video compression, software, semiconductors, electronics, fire safety devices, aircraft displays, mobile devices, construction and sports equipment, mechanical systems, HVAC, energy management, GPS, and firearms.

Before joining Alliance IP, Dusty owned his own solo IP practice and practiced at both boutique and large national law firms. He has represented clients ranging from individual inventors and startups to Fortune 100 companies.
